This week is Read Across America Week. Today, Marion County Board of Education members Mr. Saunders and Mr. Pellegrin came and read to our kindergarten classes. Thank you for sharing your time and your stories with us.

4th Grade students made Thank You cards for our first responders. Marion County Rescue Squad stopped by to pick them up. Thank you to all first responders for all that you do each and every day!

White Hall Elementary Families: During the period of Sept. 6-16, 2022, MCS will be administering a survey to students, teachers, and families. The WE SUPPORT Survey is designed to inform schools and districts about expectations and perceptions the community has about student learning. The survey is structured around three main areas: • Rigor • Relevance • Relationships To take the survey, parents/guardians do the following: • Go to www.wesurvey.org • Enter the case sensitive password that is unique to your child’s school (copy > paste works best): CMC3WH •When all questions have been answered, click Submit for your responses to be recorded. Thank you in advance for completing this survey by Sept. 16, 2022. You need to complete one for each school in which your children are enrolled, using the code for that building above. The insight you provide will be valuable in our ongoing efforts to improve student achievement. WE SUPPORT survey takes 10-15 minutes to complete. Your responses are anonymous, so please answer all questions honestly. Please try to provide your perceptions and expectations of your child’s school or district overall. Thank you.

Remake Learning Day The Marion County Schools STEAM program invites students in grades Kindergarten-3rd grade to a Remake Learning Day. Students, accompanied by an adult, will explore nature through several interactive STEAM activities about the water cycle, trees, and more. Students must be accompanied by an adult. Date: Saturday, October 8th, 2022 Rain Date: Saturday, October 15th, 2022 Time: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm Location: Pricketts Fort State Park (Picnic area before the entrance to the park.)

Due to influx of parent drop offs this morning, we are going to drop off from 8:00-8:30 in the front of the building. Please pull all the way down to the end of the building to begin the drop off point since we are holding up traffic on the main street. Encourage your child to have their backpack on and be ready to get out of the car. Parents should not get out of the car, as you hold up the traffic. Please do not block the buses that are also unloading. Many thanks to the White Hall Police for their help every morning!

National Be Brave week at White Hall Elementary! Students have spent the week dressing up as superheros, people they see as brave in their life, people with brave jobs, and brave people from history. We have been learning that bravery is with in all of us to show and to share.

Today we celebrated our Military Family by showing our purple! Thank you for all that you do!

Mrs. Richards' 2nd grade class, with the help of one of our local churches has created a Blessing Box. The box is located in the front of the school and is open to anyone in need. If you would like to make a donation to the Blessings Box, please call the school.

A little Easter fun with a special guest! Thanks for stopping by for a visit, a dance in gym and to welcome our new Blessings Box, dear Easter Bunny! Happy Easter to All!

Join us in supporting our military kids and wear purple on Friday, April 22, 2022.

Marion County Family Literacy Fair will be Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 10am - 2pm at the Marion County Board of Education. There will be activities for children of all areas, prizes, and a student art exhibit.

Congratulations to our fourth grade Math Field Day participants. Will Fullen, who won 1st place overall and Ione Huffman, who placed 6th overall. Way to go Wildcats!

Kindergarten registration is now open for White Hall. If you have a child that will be 5 by July 1st, and lives in our district, please call the school so that we can send you a registration packet. If you would like to stop by to pick one up, please stop between the hours of 9:00-3:00. Packets are due by March 11.
